Liverpool are weighing up a move for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh as they continue their search for attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season.
The Reds have identified Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola as one of their priority targets, but a deal is proving difficult with the Ligue 1 champions maintaining that the France international is not for sale.
According to *talkSPORT*, Liverpool would be at the front of the queue if PSG were to soften their stance later in the transfer window. However, with no indication that Barcola will be allowed to leave, the Merseyside club are exploring alternative options.
One player who has emerged on Liverpool’s shortlist is Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh. The 21-year-old has reportedly been valued at around £80m and is admired for his explosive pace, with the Gambian winger viewed as a player capable of fitting the profile Liverpool are looking for.
Liverpool’s search for a new wide forward has become increasingly important following Mohamed Salah’s departure on a free transfer. Replacing one of the club’s greatest-ever attackers is a major challenge, with Salah having consistently delivered goals and assists throughout his time at Anfield.
The Reds had also been interested in RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, but the youngster is understood to favour a move to Paris Saint-Germain, forcing Liverpool to look elsewhere.
