Jamal Musiala has reportedly emerged as a surprise loan target for Turkish giants Galatasaray, according to reports in Turkey.
The Bayern Munich midfielder has been linked with a temporary move to the Süper Lig side for the upcoming season, with Turkish newspaper Hürriyet claiming that the German international could be offered to Galatasaray on loan.
The speculation is understood to be linked to the arrival of PSV midfielder Ismael Saibari, who operates in a similar No 10 role to Musiala.
However, there is currently no concrete information regarding any talks between Bayern Munich, Galatasaray or Musiala over a potential deal.
The report has also not been backed up by confirmation from sources in Germany, so the claims should be treated with caution.
A move appears unlikely from Bayern’s perspective, particularly after Musiala recently committed his future to the club by signing a new contract.
The 23-year-old remains one of Bayern’s most important and recognisable players, making a temporary departure difficult to envisage at this stage.
Bayern boss Vincent Kompany is also expected to continue counting on Musiala, although the midfielder may face increased competition for a starting place as the club’s squad develops.
For now, there is little to suggest Musiala is set to leave Bayern on loan, with the Galatasaray links appearing to remain at the speculation stage.
